BRICS marathon League 2025

BRICS marathon League (further– League) includes athletics competitions in running at a distance of 42 km 195 m within the framework of the following events: the Kazan Marathon, the White Nights Marathon and the Moscow Marathon (hereinafter referred to as Marathons).
1. League goals:- Development of a system of international sports competitions held in the Russian Federation and BRICS countries;
- Strengthening friendly ties and cooperation between BRICS countries through sports events;
- Improving the athletic skill level of athletes and identifying the strongest one’s;
- Promoting a healthy lifestyle and involving people in physical culture and sports.
2. Management of the Organization and Conduct of the LeagueOverall management of the League's organization is carried out by UNISTAR SPORT AND MEDIA LLC.
The direct organizers of the Marathons, their conditions of conduct, requirements for participants, and conditions for their admission are determined by the Marathon Regulations.
3. Dates and Locations of Marathons"Kazan Marathon" – 04.05.2025, Kazan, Russia;
"White Nights Marathon" – 05.07.2025, St. Petersburg, Russia;
"Moscow Marathon" – 21.09.2025, Moscow, Russia.
4. Categories of Marathon Participants- Elite;
- Amateur;
- Relay teams from higher education institutions.
5. Determination and Awarding of Winners and Prize-Winners in the League Standings5.1 Elite Athlete Category
5.1.1 The determination of winners and prize-winners in the 42.195 m distance in the elite category is based on the finish order in accordance with item No. 165.24 (19.2 Book 2.1 World Athletics rules).
5.1.2 In the elite category, the League winner is determined separately for men and women by the highest sum of points obtained for the two best League marathons within a calendar year.
5.1.3 The sum of points is based on points received for the place achieved in the overall standings (among men and women) by finish order, according to the points table. A bonus system for performance is also provided.

5.1.4 Bonuses for Elite Category Performance:
5 points: for men - up to 02:14:01 inclusive, for women - up to 02:36:23 inclusive.
10 points: for men - up to 02:12:00 inclusive, for women - up to 02:32:26 inclusive.
15 points: for men - up to 02:10:02 inclusive, for women - up to 02:28:40 inclusive.
5.1.5 In case of equal points, the winner is determined by the best place achieved in League marathons in the current calendar year. In case of equal places, the winner is determined by the best performance in one League marathon.
5.1.6 If a participant is disqualified in one of the marathons, the result of that marathon is not taken into account.
5.2 Amateur Category5.2.1 The determination of winners and prize-winners in the amateur category for the 42.195 m distance is based on personal time (chip time).
5.2.3 In the amateur category, the League winner and prize-winners are determined separately for men and women by the sum of the two best results (personal time, chip time) achieved in League marathons within a calendar year.
5.2.4 In the amateur category, the absolute winners and prize-winners of the League are awarded from 1st to 3rd place separately for men and women.
5.2.5 The League winners in age groups are awarded for 1st place separately for men and women in each age group.
Age groups: 18–19, 20–22, 23–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80+.
The participant's age in the amateur category is determined as of December 31, 2025.
5.2.6 If a participant is disqualified in one of the marathons, the result of that marathon is not taken into account in the amateur category ranking.

5.3 Relay among Teams of Higher Education Institutions5.3.1 In the relay among teams of higher education institutions for the 42.195 m distance, the determination of winners and prize-winners is based on the finish order of the final stage team members.
5.3.2 The determination of the League winner and prize-winners among student teams is based on the sum of the two best team results achieved in League marathons within a calendar year.
5.3.3 If multiple teams from one educational institution participate in a marathon, the best result among these teams is counted.
The winners of the League in the overall relay standings among educational institution teams are awarded from 1st to 3rd place.
5.3.4 If a team is disqualified in one of the marathons, the result of that marathon is not taken into account.
6. Commemorative League Awards6.1 Participants who finish two out of three different League marathons will receive a commemorative badge at the finish line of the second marathon.
6.2 Participants who finish all three different League marathons will receive a special commemorative medal at the finish line of the third marathon.
6.3 If a participant is disqualified in one of the marathons, they will not receive an award.
7. Prize Money and Other Payments7.1 Prize money and other monetary payments are made in accordance with the Regulations on the League Prize Fund, which is an appendix to these regulations.

8.3 The League is not responsible for information on other information resources.
9. Changes to the Regulations9.1 These Regulations may be changed or canceled by the League unilaterally without prior notice to participants and without payment of any compensation in connection therewith.
9.2 The League has the right to change the name and number of marathons at any time.

ПОЛОЖЕНИЕ
о призовом фонде Лиги Марафонов БРИКС 2025
1. General Provisions1.1 The terms of these regulations apply within the framework of the BRICS Marathon League 2025 (hereinafter - the League).
1.2 Payments are made by the League Organizer or an authorized organization.
1.3 Payments are made upon presentation by the participant or their official representative of documents required for payments to individuals (copy of identity document, including permanent registration data, tax registration certificate, bank account details, documents confirming the status of a tax resident of the Russian Federation, or documented information on the absence of such status (tax non-resident of the Russian Federation)), as well as on the basis of a signed Agreement between the League and the winner. If the winner loses or acquires the status of a tax resident of the Russian Federation before the League makes monetary payments to them, they are obliged to immediately inform the League about this.
1.4 Payments are made by bank transfer, for which the participant or their official representative must provide their bank details in the manner and to the address specified in the Agreement between the League and the winner.
2. Payment of Cash Prizes2.1 Cash payments from the prize fund are made no earlier than 30 business days from the date of receiving a response from the Russian Anti-Doping Agency "RUSADA" regarding the results of doping tests. For the payment of monetary funds established by these regulations, the results of the doping test taken from the participant must be negative; otherwise, monetary payments to the participant are not made.
2.1.1 If, at the time of the Marathon, the Marathon Organizer does not have valid cooperation agreements with RUSADA, the winner (participant) independently requests information from RUSADA regarding the results of the analysis of their doping test within 10 days from the date of the Marathon and provides the League with documented information about such results; otherwise, the winner (participant) will not receive any monetary funds, including those established by these regulations.
2.2 A personal income tax of 13% of the payment amount is withheld from recipients of monetary payments for citizens of the Russian Federation and 30% of the payment amount for citizens of foreign states. The League acts as a tax agent. The amounts indicated in these Regulations are in rubles and include personal income tax.
2.3 Athletes who violate the World Athletics (WA) Competition Rules, valid at the time of the Marathons, and/or the World Anti-Doping Code established by the World Anti-Doping Association, are deprived of cash prizes. In this case, the League reserves the right to annul the participant's result.
2.3.1 The right to recover monetary funds (including those established by these regulations) remains with the League for 3 years from the moment of detection of prohibited substances, compounds, methods, or other substances in the winner's (participant's) doping tests indicating a violation of anti-doping rules (positive doping test), taken at any competitions.
2.4 Any monetary payments are made only on the basis of a signed agreement between the League and the participant for the payment of the cash prize (hereinafter and above - the Agreement).
3. Categories of Award Recipients3.1 Categories of cash prize recipients – winners in the elite athlete category, separately for men and women.
3.2 The maximum amount of cash payments from the prize fund is limited to the amounts specified in Table No. 1 of these Regulations, indicated in rubles, and includes personal income tax.
4. Other Provisions4.1 These Regulations do not constitute an offer or other form of obligation under which the parties are obliged to conclude an Agreement, nor are they a preliminary agreement within the meaning of Article 429 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and do not impose an obligation on the League to conclude any agreement.
4.2 The League has the right at any time and in any amount to change these Regulations, including in terms of the prize fund amount and other monetary payments, as well as to completely cancel them.
